I played through the whole game years ago, but with the PC-Engine/TG-16 version. I do remember having a hard time on the later stages even with savestates. Although i would like to point out that the home version is almost arcade perfect except for the fact that it doesn't have parralax scrolling.

Great video! I appreciate how comprehensive you are about both versions. Personally I really like how faithful this is to the original, since a lot of remakes change so many things that completely transforms the game, but I wish it was it at least had toggleable options. Something to strike a middle-ground between people who want an experience as close to the original as possible, or something updated with modern game standards. I gotta revisit this game sometime, I never beat it :P

Oh, also something I knew recently, the Sega Genesis has a Double Screen mode where It runs at 320x448, and there is no performance loss, this mode is used in Sonic 2's multiplayer mode, they could have used it

Next time you make another one of these videos, actually do your own research. There are several things that are wrong in the video, that makes you seem untrustworthy, such as not looking at the noises end screen, where it’s obvious that it’s a movie. Also, use the miraheze one, the random one is prone to vandalism and is untrustworthy on the whole.

Regarding your comment of the visual aesthetic of the 16-bit version of Ms. Pac-Man, I personally think the visuals don't look bad at all. I've always been a fan of the Genesis version of Ms. Pac-Man mainly because the game itself looked pretty with the extra detail added. I wouldn't be as fascinated if a port on a 16-bit console didn't take advantage of the expanded color palette, making the game look generic. I recommend the NES version if you want the simplistic style in tact.

One thing I love about this game is that it doesn’t take anything seriously. Peppino going batshit on the bosses in the final boss? Why not. You turning into goddamn Satan in R-R-Freezerator? *Why not*. The game wants you to go absolutely NUTS with all your abilities and it is so satisfying.

I got so annoyed for why I couldn't get the "Bubbly" clothes, because I thought it said, or just assumed, to pop every bubble in Deep Dish 9, as in the floating olive bubbles that can be popped in the second planet.

Quick think about noises campaign, the final screen (after the credits but before the final judgment) reveals that the whole campaign was a play put on by the noise, with all the other bosses there, and even Maurice (Peppino’s cousin) who’s a there bc of swap mode (You can even see peddito in the background!). But overall basically Noise’s campaign is basically just a whole fake play that he put on for some unspecified reason.
